Jennifer Chouinard BA BSW MPP is a PhD Candidate at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Regina. She has worked as a social worker and addictions counsellor in Saskatoon before and during her graduate studies. Jennifer’s Master’s in Public Policy work explored the effects of various Canadian and Australian labour policies on public safety personnel’s mental health outcomes. Her PhD research focuses on the role of digital social networks in benzodiazepine policy in the U.S.

In the Saskatchewan Legislature, Jennifer's policy analysis, frontline experience, and consultation alongside interest groups was named by the Minister responsible for the WCB as a catalyst for the adoption of this legislated presumption that expedites treatment for psychologically injured workers.
